Why do you practice?
It helps to calm my mind.  If I don't meditate it tends to wander,and go into odd locations, and I wind up getting worked up.  My Daughters don't need that guy, so I really try my best to leverage meditation to keep more in the moment.  If I dwell in the past or focus onto the future, I create anger disappointment  resentment, and expectations.  Keeping in the moment allows me to be happy, free and Joyous!

How do you practice?
I try to focus strictly on my breath.  If my mind wanders, I typically allow the thought to float away like a leaf on a river I sit near, then refocus back to my breath.  I typically try to get in at least 20 minutes a day, but would like to get this extended to 30 minutes or more.
