A stressed executive who has turned his back on the madness of the modern capitalist economy in order to find some calm and happiness. Despite a life full of great things I had no joy, just constant work pressure. I was pointed to Mindfulness by a friend and I am now moving forwards on my journey, moment by moment, constantly pulling my doing mind back to being mode. More

Why do you practice?
I practice to calm the invasive thoughts of depression that dog my life.  Meditation makes me feel better and restores perspective.  I practice to try and protect my wife and children from the stress that work-related depression creates in the family.
How do you practice?
I practice Mindfulness as taught by Jon Kabat-Zinn.  I follow some zen thinking as well.
