Evening sit.
well, first ten minutes lying down as I shut down at six-ish. Later was able to sit.

I found lying meditation quite helpful when I feel I am not calm enough to sit. I hold one hand perpendicular to the body just to avoid falling asleep!

Well done for fitting that time in Rosie - especially while sitting is tough.

Niroxki that is quite a funny image!

I've had some evenings in recent months when I have been too dizzy to sit up and have had to lie on my side. Just in case I fell asleep I then sat wake up alarms at intervals. Sometimes they have been needed! I've been surprised though that even those sleepy sits seem to make a difference. I think it is partly intention. It isn't like lying in bed, I've made bows (standing at least) to my altar and cushion, I've lit a candle. I've made a deliberate decision to sit with whatever comes up and that it is a 'sit' that just happens to be taking place lying down. Sometimes I think even more comes up for me in those sits because in with the physical relaxation is a sort of space for things to move.

Oh I wrote hand instead of arm! I meant keeping an arm in the right angle!
Well funny as it may seem it has been helpful for me! Actually I learned it from Andrea Fella:

I like that idea too Niroxki! I think I might try it out if I do a lying meditation again.

Thanks Niroxki, I can't play that on my phone, I'll try on a PC. It sounds like a good little trick.

My mind made the image even funnier by imagining perpendicular to the body but upwards with your hand still in the air. I imaging it getting very tired but still keeping you awake!
