Morning sit. Like a bursting out. Cycled to the station noticing everything and everyone with even more delight than usual. The parents of all races taking their kids to school, the mum with the turquoise hair, the careful or casual handholding, the kids keen to escape the hand and charge onto the day ahead, the ones warily clinging on as long as they can. Then the secondary school where pupils arrive in raucous clusters or all alone, knowing that even the most confident looking have their own insecurities. Then the university students with whom I share the next part of my cycling route and then happening open a work colleague and an impromptu conversation. All feeling like a privilege and a joy today.
