Sweat pouring down the back of my neck...

Years ago, I learned a lesson on how to be one with Nature. This was a difficult, ongoing lesson, and at the time, I had no choice. My partner, at the time, and I decided to NOT have a car. Therefore, we went everywhere, via bicycle. Trust me, if you are doing a radio show from 8 to Midnight in the nearby college town, this NO CAR was often difficult to measure up to. I remember once when we stepped outside, and it was bucketing. The rain was like a fierce sheet of water. For a moment we stood there, kind of breath held in... Then we stepped forward and rode our bicycles home.
HOWEVER, the moment, the turning point that I remember is when I was in a snowstorm. The shoulder of the road was icy.
And I had one of those light bulb moments, where I said to myself - I can either fight against Nature, or "go with the flow", i.e., be ONE with the elements.
I choose to be ONE ...
That was an incredible moment. I recommend it, i.e., instead of being angry, mentally resisting what you can't do anything about ANYWAY, just "go with the flow", oil the joints, see what works...
I was thinking of this because the last two days of my open sit meditation, I was aware of the sweat, pouring down the back of my neck, down my face, etc.
I could have been angry about it - but what good would that have done? I would have made myself hotter... at the same time, it definitely was an "oh my god" sensation...
my hair is quite short, deliberately.... I sweat PRODIGIOUSLY. Always have.
