Solar Eclipses, Meditative Day, and Sunglasses...

21 August 2017 12:00 AM

Seriously, I do a lot of meditating each day.  However, I like including this seven minute SIT because - it is hard for me to sit and just LOOK at something.  I choose the variable of seven because I like the number.  Perhaps, eventually, I'll stretch my sitting period to 14 minutes of meditation!  We'll see - because I sit for 7 minutes listening to the music, contemplating the Mandela - then I take 7 minutes to type this entry.  So that's already 14 minutes (Yeah, yeah, excuses, excuses...) ANYWAY, I participated in an online Solar Eclipse Meditation, earlier today, around 2:11 p.m.  It was 16 minutes - a definite High.  Then I went outside, and was startled to actually SEE the Eclipse.  I'm on the East Coast.  I didn't expect to see it at all.  I was ecstatic!  I saw the moon covering the sun, then I saw the sun COME out again - it was like seeing the face of God.  It was a BLAST OF LIGHT.  I went back online and talked to some folks about their Eclipse meditation experiences - so I know I'm not alone, I just - the combination of the meditation and the seeing the eclipse - WOW.  Anyway, I've had my sunglasses on.  I started this meditation, looking at my Mandela.  Then I realized that I had my sunglasses on.  I raised them and was STARTLED by the colors in the Mandela!  I saw lightning flashes, in the middle of the Mandela!  Can I say, WOW again?  I also practice my tightening my lower extremities while I meditated.  All in all, this has been a good day for reach a new level in meditation and spiritual discipline.
