30 minute meditation journal

I plan on going on a 3 day vision quest with a friend. Where we don't communicate with words. We fast and meditate we bring just a knife for building shelter and a pot for getting clean water. We will draw a circle around each one of ourselves about 12 feet diameter. We will stay inside our circles until the end of the 3rd day. I want to be closer with the earth and detox from all of this unneeded (self believed necessities) such as electronics and large meals.  I wish you all were here to experience it with us. we plan on going when we both feel the time is right but definitely before the 5th of next month.

Nice to give yourselves the time away in quiet and in nature. That can be really helpful amidst the bustle of life.

Is it is a complete fast or just restrained eating? If a complete fast I'm glad it's not me! I find that a balanced amount of food suits me best and allows enough energy for sustained practice. Hope it goes well for you though! :)

No food and only water we obtain from nature. It will be on June 1st to June 4th. I feel as if im changing and i want to pursue it.

At least it is only 3 days - you shouldn't waste away in that time.

Sometimes when we feel a pull to do something, it is exactly what we need to do, even if it is just to satisfy an urge or mark a turning point. Maybe this is the way that you need to embrace your changes.

Remember that not everything from nature is good for you though - steer away from contaminated water and unidentified fungi etc.

What matters in the longer term is how you build changes into your regular life. It is a bit like retreats, the silence and space can allow us to open up, but the real challenge for people is often how to integrate that. Wishing you a helpful time away.
