20 minutes of metta for strangers.
It is amazing to watch how after a time you feel your well wishing for others is getting more genuine.

Can you genuinely wish yourself well? I always found that much harder.

Um, this is the trick that I used this time, I read something similar to it in a self help book by David Burns. 
Suppose I am saying to someone "May you be at peace", then I imagine there is a button that by pushing it the guy will be at peace, then I create the intention in my self to push the button. Kinda like I tell myself if I had that button I would have pushed it. 

I think I can extend it too myself too, but I haven't tried it yet. But I think it sometimes starts unconsciously, I get it by noting the thoughts that come to my mind, and the shocks I feel, it is as if it starts asking "Can I do it for myself too?". It is nice :)

Have fun with it!  Even more fun is when metta stops being a practice and just becomes part of who you are :)
