20 minute meditation journal

sat for 20 minutes and focused on the breath.

I haven't meditated for a little while. I think that one of the problems is finding a regular time in the day when I can sit for 20 minutes. Another problem is staying motivated. I find that I start things with enthusiasm but this wanes as I come up against difficulties. I'm guessing that I am not the only person in the world who has these difficulties. 

I want to meditate in the morning but often I am very tired or my son wakes early and calls out to me. I have to get children ready for school in the mornings, and then I am busy most mornings after having taken them into school. I could try a regular late afternoon slot but I do find that mornings are best because they set me up for a mindful day.


Any time you can do regularly will do I think. I like to sit first thing but that's not possible for everyone. Even in the afternoons can set up the rest of your day nicely. Certainly better than nothing :)
