Laid on my back for 20 minutes and did the 10 points practice. I found that my concentration was better than before, although still not very good. It took me quite a while to settle in and I didn't feel that concentrated until I had finished sweeping through my entire body. Often, when I focus m ...

I sat for 35 minutes total. The first 20 minutes, I laid on my back on a yoga mat and did the 10 points practice, moving through my body and releasing different tensions. I was quite distracted during this part of the sit, both by my wandering mind and a bright light I had left on in my room. F ...

I went through a guided meditation where I laid on my back and was led through the ten points meditation practice. I found it very relaxing and released a lot of tension although my mind wandered a bit at times. For the last 5-10 minutes or so, I sat up and did body breathing.

I've been quite sick the past week. I've had a very nasty persistent cough, some body aches, runny nose, etc. It's been interesting to see how being sick impacts consciousness and daily life. I've also been quite busy with some other things going on in my life. Haven't been too pleased with the ...

Not feeling great since the last ecstatic sit! The morning after I had that familiar irritability and aching throughout the body, particularly shoulders, neck and jaw. Mentally, a lack of motivation to do anything and a peculiar glumness throughout experience, like a hangover fog. Doesn't usuall ...

Sat outside in the sun for 20 minutes or so, which I found to be quite distracting. Eventually I got up and went inside, which made it much easier to focus. Over the course of the sit, I found that I got more and more relaxed. I noticed a continual fair bit of tension and stress from about halfw ...

Well, last night. At weekly sitting group. My knees have been giving me jip so the last 6 or sits have been on a chair. I am appreciating my feet being squarely on the ground and they are a good awareness anchor. So I started there and moved up the legs to the sitting bones. I took a bit more ...

Guided meditation. I started by moving awareness up the body, from the bottom of the feet through the legs and abdomen and up to the head. As I did so, I heightened any tension in my body on the in breath and released the tension on the out breath. I felt a lot of tension and stress along my spi ...

Completely relaxed, in the knowledge that nothing can be created or altered, righted or wronged. Nothing touches the fundamental purity of being. Let go into boundless freedom, this perfect stillness. Very easy to do this, near perfect equanimity during this sit. Effortless. Incredible energy s ...

Unfocussed sit, really need to formalise this, still, not unpleasant though.

Experienced a fair amount of anger during the beginning of the sit. Towards the end, awareness got very bright and clear.

I went on a 7 day retreat at Gaia House: Embodying the Awakening Heart, with Yanai Postelnik & Leela Sarti. My general aims were to surrender into the stillness that continues to grow in my daily experience, and to explore the long-term energetic tensions that I feel in my throat and forehea ...

Half the sit I noted 'Feel Out' on body sensations. The other half I noted 'Hear Out' on whatever was present. Sleepy, not that focused but feel good after session. Good to be meditating again.

Experience has no need - there are no must be's or should not's. Merely and ultimately what is actual.

Just as the great ocean has one taste, the taste of salt, so also this teaching and discipline has one taste, the taste of liberation.
